Joining the Retired Public Employees Council of Washington is simple. Dues are just $5.00 per month and can be automatically deducted from your retirement check. Dues may also be paid by cash or credit card.

Associate Membership For Active Employees
Policy
RPEC offers free membership to active employees who members of PERS or SERS and plan to retire within 18 months. Associate members receive the RPEC newsletter, chapter newsletters and meeting notices, and may attend chapter meetings and the annual convention as a guest. Associate members do not have voting rights within the chapters or at the convention, and may not be convention delegates until they retire and pay dues.
Procedure
Active employees within 18 months of retirement must fully complete an RPEC membership application card, indicating the month and year of retirement, and provide a signature authorizing dues deduction once they retire. Automatic dues deduction will begin one month after retirement begins.
The applicant should note “Currently working” in the upper left hand corner of the card, and if in a union, the name and local number immediately beneath.
