RPEC is divided geographically into over 40 local chapters, each with its own elected officers and budget. There are four chapters dedicated to retirees from certain employers: King County, University of Washington, Western State Hospital and Rainier School. New members are assigned to the chapter in their home area unless they retired from one of these employers.
Members who move are automatically reassigned to the chapter nearest their new residence, but they may make a request to remain with their old chapter. Any member may, at any time, ask to be reassigned to a different chapter. The request should be made in writing or by e-mail to the Council office.
Each chapter receives $1.00 per member per month from dues to fund its activities and send delegates to the annual convention. Chapters are required to meet at least four times per year, though many meet more frequently.

At the Chapter webpage, I can’t move the rightmost sidebars out of the way to read all of the listings.
Some sidebars have an “x” command which when clicked causes the box to disappear temporarily.
